On August 16, 2006, DPI, ACTALIVE and IFMSA SCORA launched the first ever HIV/AIDS Best Practice Handbook for youth. The Handbook was put together through a collaborative effort of the three organisations and is a compendium of innovative youth-led HIV/AIDS projects in Africa. The presentation launch event at the Global Village Youth Pavillion, International AIDS Conference Toronto. showcased African Youth and brings the work of youth in Africa to the fore. The launch was used to reward organisations that have contributed to the fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa, especially as it affects youth.
